Milbrey Joyce Holly

Mrs. Milbrey Jean Joyce Holly, 92, formerly a resident of Lewisburg, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at NHC Place Cool Springs in Franklin. She was the eighth of nine children of the former Grover and Margaret Smith Joyce of Bell Buckle, TN.

Milbrey worked for the Farmers Home Administration in Lewisburg before retiring after 36 years. As part of a large family, she enjoyed visiting and cooking for all of her extended family and friends. She was famous for her caramel candy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, all of her brothers and sisters and her husband of 56 years, William “Bill" Holly. Milbrey is survived by her two sons, Dr. Rhea (Kim) Holly of Franklin and Paul T. Holly of Atlanta, GA, sister-in-law Linda Wright of Lewisburg and many beloved nieces and nephews.

A graveside service at Lone Oak cemetery will be conducted on Wednesday, January 22nd at 11:00 AM with Reverend Leland Carden officiating. The family will visit with friends graveside beginning at 10:00 AM before the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you donate to the charity of your choice in her memory.
