OUR STORY

Rooted in Lewisburg, Built on Community

It all began in 1916, when a small-town funeral home first opened its doors in the heart of Lewisburg. Life was simpler then — neighbors knew each other by name, and when a family experienced a loss, the entire town came together. Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home & Crematory was built on that spirit of community — neighbors caring for neighbors. From the very beginning, we have been dedicated to honoring families with dignity, compassion, and personal service, while remaining committed to providing care that is both affordable and accessible to all.

As Lewisburg grew and changed, so did we. Roads were paved, families expanded, and our community found its way into a new century. Through it all, our mission stayed the same: to be a steady hand and a warm heart when people need it most. But we have never been content to stand still.

In keeping with that spirit of progress, we became the first funeral home in Marshall County to offer an on-site crematory — providing families with greater peace of mind, knowing their loved ones would always remain in our trusted care.

Today, more than a century later, we are proud to continue that legacy with a forward-thinking approach to funeral and cremation services. We offer a full-service funeral home, an on-site crematory, and a beautiful cemetery — blending tradition, modern care, affordability, and convenience all in one place. We are constantly enhancing our facilities, embracing new technologies, and expanding our offerings to meet the evolving needs of today’s families.

Whether your family desires a traditional service or a contemporary celebration of life, we are honored to be the community’s preferred choice. We believe deeply in the services we provide, in offering affordable options for every family, and in giving back to the town we love.

At Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton, we believe that honoring a life is one of the greatest callings there is. We are proud to have helped write this community’s story for more than 100 years — and we look forward to serving generations to come.
