Susanne Jolley

Susanne Ross Jolley, beloved wife, mother, and friend, left us on August 22, 2026, at the age of 57. She will be remembered as a strong-willed woman who was never afraid to speak her mind. She never met a stranger and had a way of making those around her feel welcome. Her personality, quick wit, and genuine love for others will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was a Christian and cherished her family above all else. She especially enjoyed spending time outdoors, where she could often be found working in her flowers and tending to her garden. She also had a great love for UT football. She faithfully kept up with the Vols, although, in true fashion, she preferred not to actually watch the games.

She had a particular fascination with history, especially European history, and enjoyed learning about the past. She also loved vintage items and could often be found out thrifting in search of unique treasures. After bringing her finds home, she would research their history and value, enjoying the stories behind each piece. Her passion for vintage treasures even led her to operate an Etsy shop called The Antique Distillery.

One of her greatest joys was her beloved dog, Cloe. She loved dressing Cloe in vintage jewelry, and Cloe, in her mind, was nothing short of royalty. Those who knew her will remember the joy she found in those special moments and the love she had for her faithful companion.

Memorial Service will be held at Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at 6:00 PM. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 3:00 PM until time for the Memorial Service.

Susanne is survived by her husband, Keith Jolley, daughters, Carolanne King (Justin) and Mary Jolley, grandchildren, William King and Edward McGovern III, best friend, Amy Hargrove Bucco and many other extended family members. She is preceded in death by her mother, Donna Ross Cummings.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, strong opinions, treasured memories, and a life filled with the things she enjoyed most. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
