Charles B Tidwell

Charles B. Tidwell, who was affectionately known as "Charlie Brown," left this world on August 30, 2026, at the age of 79. He was born on June 17, 1947, to the late Lum and Bessie Pauline Spencer Tidwell. Charles was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and craftsman whose remarkable talent for transforming discarded metal into functional and useful items again.

His Baptist faith was quietly a part of who he was, providing a gentle foundation throughout his life without ever defining the man he chose to be.

Charles was a proud man known for his steadfast nature and strong convictions. He lived his life with relentless determination, which sustained him through so many challenges. Throughout his life, Charlie was a hard-headed individual who preferred to forge his own path. With unwavering determination, he and his beloved wife built their house, a family home that reflected their shared dedication and love. His legacy will live on through the countless memories created with his grandchildren, with whom he cherished every moment spent engaged in activities that fostered joy and connection.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Fred Tidwell, John Tidwell, and Jessie Tidwell, and sisters, Irene McCord, Christine Hughes, Marie Hudgins, and Shirley Null.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Tidwell, son, Adam Johnson, daughters, Cindy Oliphant and Patricia Jones, brother, Jessie Tidwell, sisters, Sarah Hand, Betty Fisk, grandchildren, Xander Johnson, Hayden Johnson, and Telitha Johnson, and numerous other extended family members.
