Frances Whaley

June 23, 1930 — August 17, 2024

Mildred Frances Whaley was born on June 23, 1930. She was the daughter of Grover Lee Adcox and Evie Mae (Gipson) Adcox. She married the love of her life, Lee Brittian Whaley on August 22, 1946. To this union 3 daughters were born. She succumbed to death on August 17, 2024, at the age of 94.

In May of 1948 she symbolized her dedication to her God, Jehovah by being baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She was a diligent student of the Bible and found pleasure in reading it every day and making it a career of devoting many hours teaching others about the wonderful truths found in the Bible.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Being the wife of a farm mechanic, she lovingly put up with all the grease that came with the job. She was a hard worker, outspoken and quick witted with a great sense of humor which endeared her to many people.

Frances, as she went by, was preceded in death by her parents, her 4 siblings and her precious husband of 50 years, Lee Brittian Whaley. She is survived by her 3 daughters – Deborah Vega and Sharon (Tim) Holt of Lewisburg and Cynthia Wakham of Medina, TN, three grandchildren: Mandy (Patrick) Taylor and Candace (Joe) Gentry of Lewisburg; Christopher (Amanda) Perryman of Florida; 7 great grandchildren: Canessa Taylor, Malana Taylor, Demarion Taylor, Corbin Gentry, Jaclyn Gentry, Merrick Perryman, Rada Perryman and numerous nieces and nephews and dear friends.

The family had a private family burial in Lone Oak Cemetery. Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home & Crematory is honored to assist the family with the arrangements. Condolences may be extended online at www.billsmcgaugh.com.
