It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Willie ”Bud” Pink Carter also known as “Pop”, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a beloved friend, who left this world on July 15, 2025 at the age of 85. Willie was a genuinely kind and humble soul whose presence lit up the lives of everyone who knew him.
Born on January 15, 1940, Willie lived a life enriched by his unwavering faith in Jesus, his love for his family, and his passion for farming. He could often be found tending to his chickens, chatting about gardening, or sharing a laugh with those around him. His warm smile and twinkling eyes brought comfort and joy to all who encountered him. He was a man who never judged but instead offered an open heart and listening ear, making everyone feel safe and valued.
Willie was truly dedicated to his family, cherishing his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He had a special bond with his dog, Rosco, and delighted in moments spent riding in the car, enjoying the beauty of life. He was an avid fan of gospel music and loved visiting the Amish community, finding joy in simple pleasures.
