William Spivy

Mr. William O. "Bill" Spivy, age 80, of Lewisburg, passed away on March 22, 2011 at NHC- Lewisburg.

A native of Maury County, he was the son of the late Annie Ruth Bryant Spivy and William Oscar Spivy. He was a Veteran of the United States Army having served his country during the Korean War. He was retired from L&N (CSX) Railroad after 39 years of service. He was also a member of the VFW Post 1618 and a member of the Leoma First Baptist Church.

His parents preceded him in death.

Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years Alpha Elizabeth James Spivy of Lewisburg, one son William T. "Tommy" Spivy (Cecilia) of Lewisburg, one brother, Joe Spivy of Jasper, Alabama, two grandchildren, William T. "Will" Spivy, Jr. (Andrea) of Lewisburg and Brett Alan (Diana) Spivy of Franklin, TN. One great grandchild also survives. Also he leaves behind his two precious Pugs, "Wiggles and Princess".

Funeral Services for Mr. Spivy will be conducted on Friday, March 25th at 11:00 A.M. from the chapel of Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home with Paul Woodford officiating. Graveside services will take place at 1 P.M. at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN. Visitation will begin on Thursday, March 24th, from 3 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
