W. C. ' 'Bill Marlin

February 20, 1910 — November 29, 2004

Mr. W. C. Bill Marlin, age 94 of Lewisburg, died Monday evening in NHC-Lewisburg.

Born in Nashville, he was one of four children of Howard and Beulah Campbell Marlin. Training at night, he became a master electrician. While working for Roberts Electrical Service of Nashville, he came to Lewisburg in 1937 to assist in rewiring Marshall Stove. He stayed in the area and in 1947, became one of the founders of Lewisburg Casting Company, along with Carl ONeil and Leo Weaver. Mr. Marlin retired from Lewisburg Casting Company in the late 70s. He served as a director for Peoples & Union Bank for 35 years, was a past director for the Marshall County Chamber of Commerce, and a 30-year member of the Registered Angus Association. He was a charter member of the Lewisburg Elks Lodge, a Master Mason with the Dilihaunty Lodge, 32nd Degree Mason and Shriner, member of the Al Menah Temple, and a member of the First United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Mens Bible Class.

Mr. Marlin is survived by two daughters: Margie M. Harris of Lewisburg, and Wilma M. Paul Ervin of Pawleys Island, SC; 4 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 2 step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home with burial in Lone Oak Cemetery.

The family will visit with friends on Wednesday from 4:00 7:00 PM at Bills McGaugh Funeral Home.
