Timothy Nance

Timothy W. Nance, 72, devoted husband, a cherished father, and beloved member of the community, passed away surrounded by his family, on August 20, 2023, in Lewisburg, Tennessee. Born on November 27, 1950, in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, to Howard and Elaine Grooms Nance. He was a faithful Christian who loved his Heavenly Father. Timmy leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering dedication to his family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on August 25, 2023, at 2:00 pm, at Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home Visitation will start at noon and will continue until the time of the service. This occasion will offer an opportunity for family, friends, and community members to gather and celebrate the life of a remarkable man who brought joy and light into their lives.

Timmy is survived by his wife of 54 years, Prissy; his daughter, Lynn; brothers, Bill Nance and Jim Nance; sisters, Sheila Henson and Cheryl Middleton; and grandchildren, Chance (Beka) Shrum and Carly Shrum (Jacob Walker).

Timmy's dedication to his family and community was evident throughout his life. His warm smile and friendly presence touched the lives of countless individuals, leaving a lasting impact on their hearts. He loved Alabama football, landscaping, tending to his flowers, and gospel hymns. Many times, he could be found on the patio enjoying the world around him.  He also had a special place in his heart for his fur babies.

In honor of Timmy's memory, let us remember the lesson he taught us - to cherish every moment we have with our loved ones. Though he may no longer be physically present, his spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
