Thelma Griggs

Biography Thelma Jean Harris Griggs, age 84 of Lewisburg, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2014 in NHC Healthcare-Lewisburg. A native of Marshall County, Mrs. Griggs was the daughter of the late John Kenneth Harris and Eula Vaughn Harris. Also preceding her in death is her infant grandson, Christian Burk; one sister, Louise Thompson; and three brothers, Robert Harris, J. B. (Jake) Harris, and John Roy Harris. She was a homemaker and a member of Farmington Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Howard Grady Griggs of Lewisburg; one daughter, Elvonda (Carl) King of Cornersville; two sons, Robert Wayne (Angie) Lasater of Cornersville and Kevin Burk of Lewisburg; one step-son, James Allen Gipson of Cornersville; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
