Teresa Lynn West, 59, of Lewisburg, TN died Monday, January 22, 2018 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville, TN following a long battle with leukemia.
Teresa was the daughter of Morris and Betty Young of Lewisburg. She was preceded in death by her father, Morris; grandparents, James and Lela Young, and Houston and Mary Martin; uncle H. Clay Martin and aunt Peggy Martin; and aunt Barbara Pyrdum.
She is survived by her mother, Betty; one son, Joshua West of Knoxville; brother, Tony Young and his wife Jamie of Nashville; sister, Tammy Andersen and husband Steve of Houston, TX; one niece, Hannah Andersen; two nephews, Zachary Andersen and Joshua Young; one uncle, Bob Martin of Tullahoma; aunts, Kay Woodlee of Tullahoma, Marie Moran, Clara Baltimore and Jean Starnes all of Shelbyville; as well as several cousins from the surrounding area.
Teresa was a graduate of Marshall County High School in 1976, and attended Martin Methodist College in Pulaski before going to work for Heil-Quaker, Lewisburg in 1977. After 25 years there, she relocated to Collierville, TN where she worked as an industrial engineer for 13 years for the Carrier Corporation. She loved UT Football and the Lady Vols. She enjoyed reading, history and the mountains.
Visitation services will take place Thursday, January 25, 2018 from 4:00 until 7:00 pm at Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home in Lewisburg. Funeral Services will be on Friday, January 26, 2018 at 11:00 am at Shiloh United Methodist Church in the Wheel Community. Burial will follow in the Wheel Cemetery.
