Robert Quentin Liggett age 92 of Cornersville, Tennessee passed away at home surrounded by family Wednesday, October 30, 2024. Robert was born in Marshall County Tennessee July 27, 1932. He served in the air force from 1950-1954 where he had the best of times serving in Alaska. He married his sweetie, Fay Stepp, on December 10, 1954 and they had two children, La Dona and Darlene.They moved to Mobile, Alabama where he worked at Brookley Airforce Base and Teledyne until he retired in 1999. They moved back to Marshall County Tennessee where he built their last earthly home. He was a member of the Church of God for many years and loved Gospel music. He loved his family and telling them about all his adventures. His favorite hobbies were whittling, building things out of wood, motorcycles, airplanes and old cars. Robert was preceded in death by his parents Eunice Earl and Anna Mary Robinson Liggett; brothers, Charles Liggett, Earl Liggett, James “Jim” Liggett, Marvin Liggett; sister, Emma Gagnon (David). Robert is survived by his wife of 70 years, Bernice Fay Liggett; daughters, La Dona McAlister (Liam) and Darlene Williams; brother, Joe Liggett(Talitha); sister, Violet Haynes; grandchildren, Brian Henson, Janna Stanley (Blake), Luke Tyson (Mallory), Katie Salers (Nathan), Lindsay Tavares (Vinny), Karlie Cunill (Ryan); great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Aragon (Arnold), Tyson Stanley (Mary Ellis), Blakelyn Stanley, Mason Stanley, Jaidyn Tyson, JD Tyson, David Salers, Sean Salers, Kerrilynn Salers, Alex Tavares, James Tavares and Ryleigh Cunill; great greatchildren Roselyn Aragon and Roman Aragon. 

 Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Monday, November 4, 2024 at Bills McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Wheel Cemetery. Luke Tyson, Jerry Liggett, Vinny Tavares, Will Gold, Micajah Gold, Andrew Gold, Tyson Stanley, Brian Henson will serve as pallbearers. Chess Gold will serve as an honorary pall bearer. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at BILLS MCGAUGH & HAMILTON FUNERAL HOME 755 Yell Road, Lewisburg, Tennessee 37091. 931-359-2521.
