Robert Chapman

Mr. Robert E. Chapman, age 78 of Belfast, died Friday afternoon in Maury Regional Hospital. A native of Marshall County, he was the son of the late Robert M. and Sally Rambo Chapman, retired from Heil-Quaker, a farmer, and an active member of the Hardin Chapel Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by a brother: Clifford Chapman. He is survived by his wife of 55 years: Agnes Brown Chapman of Belfast; a daughter: Patricia Colette Pruitt of Ashland City; a son: Robert Mark Chapman of Lewisburg; a brother: B. M. Chapman and sister: Gladys Kinsley; 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home with burial in Short Cemetery. The family will be at Bills McGaugh Funeral Home from 4:00 8:00 PM Saturday for visitation. Bills McGaugh Funeral Home and the United States Forest Service have provided for the planting of a tree in memory of Mr. Chapman.
