Rickey Joe Taylor, age 67, of Lewisburg, TN, passed away on February 28, 2025. Born and raised in the heart of Tennessee, Ricky embraced a life filled with passion for the great outdoors and a profound appreciation for history and nature.


A dedicated outdoorsman, Rickey Joe found immense joy in fishing and hunting, with a particular fondness for coon hunting. He cherished the time spent amidst the beauty of nature, often accompanied by his beloved dog, Mutt, who was a loyal companion throughout his adventures. Rickey Joe's love for antiquities reflected his intelligent mind and deep respect for the past. His fascination with history extended to genealogy, where he tirelessly studied his roots and the stories of those who came before him.


In his earlier years, Rickey Joe was known as an avid bicycle rider, often exploring the scenic trails of his beloved Tennessee. He also enjoyed attending gun shows and Civil War reenactments, where his knowledge and passion for history came alive.


Rickey Joe Taylor is survived by his brother, Eddie Taylor (Kim); sisters, Yvonne Hopkins (Ritchie) and Yvette Bakken (Steven); and numerous nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Farris and Marjorie Marie Endsley Talyor.


Graveside service will be conducted at Short Cemetery on Friday, March 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM.
