Raymond Smith

Mr. Raymond T. Smith, age 85 of Lewisburg, died Wednesday evening in NHC-Lewisburg. Mr. Smith was a native of Overton Co, TN and the son of the late X R and Lora Deck Smith. He served his country during World War II in the United States Navy. He was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church in Culleoka, giving his life to the Lord during his childhood years. Mr. Smith was self-employed, having retired from the lumber business. He is survived by six children: Wanda Catherine Warren of Columbia, Wilma Jean Wills of Memphis, Thomas Ray Smith of Scotsboro, AL, James E. Smith and Evelyn Teague, both of Lewisburg, and Freddie Keith Smith of Mt. Pleasant. At the familys request, there will be no public services.
