Phillip M. Dalton, 69, resident of Lewisburg, died on Sunday, July 5, 2020 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
A lifelong resident of Lewisburg, he was born on March 22, 1951 to the late Cordie Dalton and the late Mildred Porterfield Dalton. Phillip was a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University. He was the former co-owner of Dalton Lumber Company for many years. In his early years, he was a licensed pilot. He also served on the board at Ellington Airport. Mr. Dalton was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. Above all, he will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
Survivors include his wife, Vicky Zumbro Dalton of Lewisburg; son, Zachary Dalton of Portland, Maine; daughters, Sara Beth (Mike) Furey of Noblesville, Indiana, Emilie (Nick) Dalton-Galindez of Spain; brother, Paul (Peggy) Dalton of Cornersville; sister, Emily Barnes of Lewisburg; and three grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Kerry Dalton, and sisters, Cathey Dalton and Becky Jackson.
Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, July 7th at 10:00 A.M. at Lone Oak Cemetery. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service at the graveside. The Dalton family and Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home staff strongly recommend to adhere to the CDC guidelines on social distancing and facial covering. Those attending are welcomed to bring lawn chairs.
