Peggy Doggett

Mrs. Peggy Jean Doggett, age 75 of Lewisburg, died Wednesday in NHC-Lewisburg. A native of Giles County, she was the daughter of the late Lon and Elizabeth Green Whitworth and a member of the Westvue church of Christ. Peggy was a Registered Nurse for 30 years, serving at NHC-Oakwood and retiring from Marshall Medical Center. She was preceded in death by a son: Roger Joe Doggett. She is survived by her husband: Joe N. Doggett; a daughter: Donna Dickson, both of Lewisburg; and a brother: Lon Whitworth of Pulaski. 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home with Bro. Jason Hart officiating. Burial will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery. The family will be at Bills McGaugh Funeral Home from 4:00-8:00 PM Thursday, and Friday until the funeral hour for visitation. Bills McGaugh Funeral Home and the United States Forest Service have provided for the planting of a tree in Peggy's memory.
