Patricia Lee (Heathcott) Vandewarker, age 88, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2025, in Lewisburg, Tennessee. She is survived by her sons Mark S. Vandewarker of Syracuse, NY, and Glenn J. Vandewarker of Lewisburg, TN, as well as her grandchildren Ryan K. Vandewarker and Megan M. Vandewarker, both of Syracuse, NY.
Patricia was born on July 29, 1937, in Pontiac, Michigan, to Margaret Patricia (Deitrich) Heathcott and James Dalton Heathcott. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Charles D. Heathcott. As a child, she was affectionately known to friends and family as “Patsy Lee.”
She attended Waterford High School and later continued her education at Ferris College. In 1959, Patricia married Richard E. Vandewarker, and together they lived in Key West, Florida, East Lansing, Michigan, and later settled in Rochester, New York.
A devoted and loving mother, she raised two sons—Mark and Glenn—and worked for the 3M Company in Rochester as an executive secretary. Her career eventually led her to Woodbury, Minnesota, where she continued her service with 3M until her retirement.
Patricia later relocated to Cornersville, Tennessee, where she became active in her community, serving as a town council member. She enjoyed interior decorating, reading history, gardening, and bringing beauty and order into her surroundings.
One of the most meaningful chapters of her life began when she embraced her spiritual journey. Patricia was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on August 2, 2020, and she found deep joy in sharing her faith with others and helping them appreciate the truths she discovered in God’s Word, the Bible.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date and will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Lewisburg, Tennessee.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home & Crematory is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
