Norma Fowler, age 75, a lifelong resident of Marshall County, passed away peacefully at home on April 26, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on October 14, 1950, in Lewisburg, Tennessee, Norma was the beloved daughter of the late Odell and Sara Elizabeth Lou Rogers. She was also preceded in death by her devoted husband, Harold Fowler, and her brothers, Randy and Gary Rogers.
Norma dedicated many years of service to Faber-Castell before retiring. She was a steady, hardworking presence there, and she took pride in the life she built through her work and her family.
She is survived by her loving children: daughter Karen Eastep of Maryville, Tennessee; and sons Jeffery Fowler and Wesley Fowler, both of Belfast. She also leaves behind her sisters, Becky Neese and Joyce King, both of Lewisburg, along with many nieces and nephews who meant so much to her.
Norma was known for her strong will and determined spirit. She could be a bit hardheaded at times, but it was part of what made her so uniquely herself. Those who loved her knew that her stubbornness was rooted in strength, conviction, and a deep sense of care for the people and things that mattered most to her.
Norma had a way of making everyday moments memorable. She was the slowest Scrabble player—taking her time with care and thought—but a true card sharp when it came to gin, rook, and rummy. She almost always won at Chinese checkers, often with a little smirk and just a touch gloating. Her humor and competitive spirit will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
She loved to read, watch movies, and could never have too many books. Elvis and Shirley Temple films were among her favorites, and she never passed up a good game show.
