Nora Burgett

Mrs. Nora Bagwell Burgett, age 78, died Tuesday evening in Maury Regional Hospital. A native of Christian Co, KY, Mrs. Burgett was the daughter of the late Pleasant G. and Martha Harper Bagwell, and a member of the Richland Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was a secretary for the Tennessee Walking Horse/Breeders & Exhibitors Association for almost 30 years, and was preceded in death by her husband: Sloan Burgett in 1998. Mrs. Burgett is survived by her daughter: Amy Burgett Slagle; and two grandsons: Richie & Alex Slagle, all of Columbia. One sister: Dorothy Darke of Clarksville also survives. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Vaught officiating. Interment will follow in the Short Cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 4:00 8:00 PM Thursday at Bills McGaugh Funeral Home.
