Nancy was born on December 31, 1939, in Ashland, Kentucky. In 1957, she graduated from South High School in Columbus, Ohio. After high school, she studied nursing at Grant Hospital School of Nursing. Throughout their life together, Nancy and Jerry lived in Omaha, Nebraska; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Columbus, Ohio; Lewisburg, Tennessee; and Louisville, Kentucky. In 2005, they moved back to Lewisburg to join their children and grandchildren.  She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Nancy worked for several years in purchasing at Teledyne Lewisburg. In Louisville, she served as the bookstore coordinator along with other duties at Kentucky Country Day School. She was an avid reader, a faithful friend, and encouraged and supported her children’s and grandchildren’s education.

Nancy was preceded in death by her mother, Mabel Cordle, her father, Ameza Cordle, brother Charles Russell Cordle, and sister-in-law Andriana Cordle. A celebration of life service will be scheduled for a future date. Nancy was always generous and supported several organizations and charities including St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, and Catholic Charities. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you support one of these or your favorite charity.
