Muriel Sappington

Mrs. Muriel Renegar Sappington, age 78 of Lewisburg, died Friday evening in St. Thomas Hospital. A native of the Delina Community, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Ruby Clark Renegar. She was a member of the Lewisburg First Baptist Church and a former owner, with her husband James, of Sappington Jewelry in Lewisburg. She is survived by three children: James Norris Sappington, Jr of Kingston Springs, Joseph Patrick Sappington of Arrington, and Cindia Bivins of Lewisburg; a half-sister: Tillie Thompson of Memphis; two half-brothers: Jimmy Renegar of Park City and Johnny Renegar of Smyrna; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister: Lila Wright; a brother: Charles Renegar; and a great-grandchild: Jeffery Clark Taylor. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery. The family will be at Bills McGaugh Funeral Home Saturday from 3:00 8:00 PM for visitation. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation or the Medium United Methodist Church in Delina.
