Miriam Moon

Mrs. Moon died Tuesday evening in Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Horace Riggs and Katherine Gordon Harwell, a homemaker, and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lewisburg. She was a member of the Robert Lewis Chapter of the DAR, the Marshall County Art Guild, and the Marshall County Study Club. She attended Ward-Belmont School and briefly taught Expression, Speech, and Drama at Cornersville School. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, James Robert Moon of Lewisburg; her daughter, Cathie Moon Oldham of Franklin; her son, James P. Bonnie Moon of Lewisburg; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 325 W. Church St., Lewisburg, TN 37091. Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home and the United States Forest Service have provided for the planting of a tree in memory of Mrs. Moon.
