Michelle Winford

Michelle “Shell” Winford, age 49, of Shelbyville, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2026.

Born on December 31, 1976, in Fayetteville, Tennessee, Michelle was the daughter of the late Thomas Edward Winford and the late Donna Ann Rodgers Winford.

Michelle found joy outdoors and loved spending her time camping, fishing, hunting, and hosting cookouts with family and friends. She loved her family and cherished every moment spent with them. She also had a special place in her heart for all of her animals, which brought her endless companionship and happiness throughout her life.

She is survived by her life partner of 20 years, James Crosslin; sisters, Selena (Albert) Sunderman and Tonya (Thomas) Parker; niece, Braylee Parker; nephew, Shance Parker; god-daughters, Meredith Ragsdale and Serenity Ragsdale; along with several extended family members.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. at Lone Oak Cemetery. Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home is honored to assist the Winford family with the arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Quinten Clifford, Chad Southerland, Edward Jett, Billy Foster, Dakota Rodgers, and Albert Sunderman.

Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Childress, Shance Parker, and Casey Southerland.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Michelle Winford Burial Fund, 755 Yell Road, Lewisburg, TN 37091.
