Mattie Shawn

Mattie Louise Shawn, age 90, died Friday at NHC-Oakwood. Ms. Shawn was born in Birmingham, Alabama. With her late husband, Hubert A. Shawn, they operated the Sportsman Club Restaurant in Colorado City, Texas for many years. After his death, she moved to Lewisburg in 1986. She was the daughter of the late Richard Manning and Lena Kridler Manning. She is survived by two sons; Hubert C. Shawn Genell of Lewisburg and Ronnie A. Shawn Debbie of Madison, Alabama; one sister: Georgia Brown of Kansas City, Kansas. Four grandchildren, five great grandchildren and seven great, great grandchildren also survive. Visitation will be Saturday, April 1, 1-4 PM at Bills McGaugh Funeral Home. Following cremation, the remains will be returned to Texas. Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
