Mary Margaret Harris

Ms. Mary Margaret Harris, 91, retired teacher and resident of Lewisburg, died on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at Marshall Medical Center. A Funeral Mass will be conduced on Saturday, May 15th at 2 PM at St John The Evangelist Parish with Father Regi officiating. Inurnment will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Friday, May 14th from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home. Born on April 15, 1930 in Nashville, she was the daughter of the late William Campbell Marlin and the late Jenny Marlin. Ms. Harris was a graduate of Peabody College. During her tenue as a teacher, she enriched the minds of student for over thirty years. Ms. Harris taught 7th Grade at both McCord and Connelly Schools in Lewisburg. She was a devoted parishioner at St. John The Evangelist Parish. Survivors include her son, Richard “Rick” Harris of Antioch; sister, Wilma Marlin Ervin of South Carolina; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ms. Harris honor to St. John The Evangelist Parish, 1061 S Ellington Pkwy, Lewisburg, TN 37091.
