Martha Ann Gallik Finn, age 89 passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at NHC - Merihil Nursing Home in Lewisburg, TN. Mrs. Finn was born August 2, 1926 to John Steven and Sophia Eizil Krisack Gallik at the Village of Steene on the farm in Waymart, PA. Martha Ann had a very active life. She was a purchasing agent for Xertron, an elementary teacher, a volunteer for the Good Samaritan, a Girl Scout Leader, a Cub Scout Leader and a member of St John Catholic Church in Lewisburg, TN.
Mrs. Finn was preceded in death by her first husband, John Paul Bachmann, a WWII Veteran, and her second husband, James Patrick Finn along with two step-sons, James and Timothy Finn, two sisters, Veronica Dahlhaus, Margaret Sanchez, two brothers, Thomas Gallik and Frank Gallik and a granddaughter, Lisa M. Zwiren.
Surviving her is one son, John Bachmann, Lewisburg, TN, two daughters, Janet B. Straightarrow, Madison, NJ, Nancy B. (Alan) Podkowka, Lafayette, NJ, one step-son, Patrick Finn, Strasburg, PA, one brother, John Gallik, Honesdale, PA, five sisters, Sophie Benney, Glen Burnie, MD, Rose Carson, Waymart, PA, Cecelia Janezic, Yardley, PA, Mary Davitt, Youngsville, NY, Adele Mansfield, Odenton, MD, three granddaughters, Paula M. Zwiren, West Orange, NJ, Alana P. (Tim) Batko, Montinque, NJ, Ashley E. Podkowka, Montique, NJ, and two great-grandchildren, Zocia Batko and Amalia Batko.
Visitation will be with the family Saturday, June 24, 2016 at 4:00 until 7:00 PM with a funeral service to follow immediately after the visitation in the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home. Mrs. Finn body will be conveyed to the Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High Street, Newton, NJ 07860. There will be visitation on Monday, June 27, 2016 from 2:00 until 4:00 PM and again at 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at their facility. No Burial is planned at this time.
In lieu of flowers donation may be made to the St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 1102 17th Avenue South #300, Nashville, TN 37212. Notes of condolences may be sent to the family at www.billsmcgaugh.com.
