Frederick Mark Perryman reached his Final Sunset on July 9, 2025. Mark lived a fulfilling life filled with adventure, kindness, and a profound love for everything he did.
Known as a lover of life, Mark was a gentle soul, and had a natural ability to light up any room with his quiet sense of humor and caring nature. He was always the first to lend a hand or offer a friendly word, and his genuine kindness touched the lives of so many.
A passionate sports fan, Mark cheered on Alabama Football, Atlanta Braves and became a Detroit Lions fan. When he wasn't rooting for his favorite teams, he was out on the golf course, hitting the links, or on the tennis court, enjoying the game he loved. And let's not forget his adventures on his beloved Harley Davidson motorcycles.
Mark also cherished moments outdoors, whether he was camping, fishing, scuba diving, or kayaking. He found joy in exploring the beauty of nature and cherished every opportunity to connect with the great outdoors. His Jeep was a genuine extension of that love for adventure, always ready for the next journey.
Moreover, Mark had a knack for installing electronics. He used his engineering background to automate everything from the simplest electronics to the most advanced technology. Mark was a gentle family man who loved life.
Mark is preceded in death by his parents, Freeman and Ann Davidson Perryman. He is survived by his wife, Christie; his children, Erica Pater and Alexandria Staggs (Matt); grandchildren who called him "Papa Mark", Olivia Pater, Ellie Staggs, Waylon Staggs, Georgia Staggs, and Tony Staggs; and sister, Elaine Coker (John). He will be dearly missed by family and friends who were lucky enough to share in his adventures and witness his kind spirit.
