Maribelle Young

Mrs. Maribelle C. Young, age 84 of Lewisburg, died Sunday morning in NHC-Oakwood. A native of Rome, TN, she was the daughter of the late Julian & Mary Carter Cooksey, a homemaker and mother, and member of the Lewisburg First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband: Horace B. Young in Oct. 2000 a son: Ben Young in May 2000 and a brother: Julian Cooksey Jr. She is survived by two daughters: Libby Steely and Judy Wallace; a son: Spence Young, all of Lewisburg; a brother: Raymond Cooksey of Lewisburg and a sister: Sue Caplenor of Brentwood; eight grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren also survive. The family will be at Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home on Monday evening from 5:00 8:00 PM for visitation and again on Tuesday, one hour prior to the funeral hour. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home with entombment in the Mausoleum of Sunset Park Cemetery. The family requests that memorial donations be made to the First Baptist Church, P O Box 1308, Lewisburg, TN 37091. Bills McGaugh Funeral Home and the United States Forest Service have provided for the planting of a tree in memory of Mrs. Young.
