Mrs. Margie Sharp Lewis, age 56 formerly of Lewisburg, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at her residence in Memphis.
A native of Marshall County, she was the daughter of George Clebert Sharp and Nannie Brady Sharp, she was a homemaker and a graduate of Memphis State, a member of the class of 1971 at MCHS and was a member of the Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by five brothers George Clebert SharpJr., Wesley Calvin Sharp, Briley Sharp, Tommy Sharp, and Jimmy Sharp.
Survivors include her husband; Jeffrey Lewis of Memphis. Two sisters; Sally Libbs and Becky Johnsey both of Lewisburg, three brothers; Jacky Sharp, Cleo Sharp, and Ronnie Sharp all of Lewisburg. Special friends; Billie Trusty of Memphis, TN and Tina Horton of Memphis and Timmy Horton also of Memphis.
Funeral services for Mrs. Lewis will be conducted on Saturday, May 30, 2009 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home with Thomas B. Sumners officiating. Burial will follow in Short Cemetery in the Spring place community.
Visitation with the family will begin on Friday, May 29, 2009 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
