Marcus Ray Franks

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Marcus Ray Franks, beloved son, brother, nephew, grandson and friend, who left us far too soon on May 1, 2025, at the tender age of 21. Born on December 8, 2003, Marcus was a radiant spirit, whose joy and laughter touched the hearts of everyone who knew him.

Marcus, affectionately known as "Perm" by his family, had an effortless ability to bring smiles to their faces with his goofy jokes and carefree demeanor. He loved his family fiercely, with a special bond shared with his mama, brother, and sister. His big heart was evident in all that he did, whether it was drawing, listening to his favorite music, rap music, or engaging in his favorite activities like soccer, fishing, and playing video games. He cherished the simple pleasure of spending time with his loved ones over meals, always ready to enjoy every bite.

Marcus is survived by his parents, Tabetha and Jason Staggs; brother, Levi Franks; sisters, Emily Staggs and Chloe League; grandparents, Harry and Elaine McCormick, Kim and Rodney Church, and Audrey Kelley; aunts and uncles, Amy and Billy Wells, Zach and Beth McCormick, Brian and Lauren Uselton, Marcus and Shelby Uselton, Joe and Teresa Kelley, Mandee and Johnathan Turrell, and Melissa Kelley. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, William Kelley; uncle, Brian Staggs; and aunt, Charlotte Reder.

Funeral services for Marcus will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at 100 PM. Visitation will be Monday, May 5, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and will continue on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, from 11:00 PM until the funeral hour of 1:00 PM.
