Lydia Merritt

Lydia Cathleen Webb Merritt “Mousey” 81, of Lewisburg went to her heavenly home Monday, July 17, 2023. Longing to be in the arms of God she passed away at home, her final wish. She was a Christian and of the Baptist faith. She is survived by a daughter, Angela Merritt; grandchildren, Lydia Merritt and Timothy Isaac Merrit; great grandchild, Kateari Reign Merritt (aka Nanny’s look alike); also of Lewisburg.

There will be no public service.

Lydia was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Louisa Jane Varney Webb; a daughter, Erika Robin Merritt; sisters, Rayetta Jane Webb and Shirley Jean Webb; brothers, Charles Edward Webb and Marcus Shane Webb; and a brother-in-law, Don Bogar.

She is also survived by sisters, Patsy (Harold) Coleman, Betty Sue Bogar; sister-in-laws, Donna Webb, and Nadine Webb; special niece, Diane (aka D Louise) and husband John Dorais; special family members: Holly Malone, Lea Ann England and Lora Crockett and many nieces and nephews. Lydia was a General Motors UAW1853 retiree. She was very loved by many and will be missed.
