Born on October 27, 1925, in Marshall County, he was the son of the late Samuel Floyd Haislip and the late Jessie Mae Simmons Haislip.  His sons remember going hunting and fishing with their father and him teaching them basic survival skills that have helped them become the men they are today.  Above all, him and his wife loved God, their family, and their country and taught their children to do the same.  He was enlisted from June 1943 to September 1945, which was during WWII.  He was part of the crew on a PC ship for the Navy during these years.  Kenneth was a retired employee of Ford Glass Plant in Nashville after 30+ years of employment.  For several years, he enjoyed traveling to LaBelle, Florida, and Kenneth and his wife would spend three months a year there. Mr. Haislip was a devoted member of Bellview Church of Christ for over 50 years, and worshipped at Central Church of Christ in LaBelle, Florida.

He is survived by his sons, Randall (Susan) Haislip, Delvin Haislip, Kenneth (Laura) Haislip; brother, Alfred Haislip; grandchildren, Shade Haislip, Eli Haislip, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 72 years; his siblings, Kathleen Beaty, Bud Haislip, Alton Haislip, and Judy Eberts.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association P.O. Box 96011 Washington, DC 20090-6011.

Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home is honored to assist the family with arrangements. Condolences may be extended online at www.billsmcgaugh.com.
