Kathy Darlene Rogers whose nickname was “George”, a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2025, at the age of 66. Born on October 8, 1958, in Greencastle, Indiana, Kathy was known for her beautiful spirit and unwavering strength. A proud and determined woman, she faced life's challenges with grace and resilience.
Kathy dedicated much of her life to helping others, sharing warmth, kindness, and an infectious smile with everyone she met. As a gas station clerk, she created connections within her community, always ready to lend a hand or offer a listening ear. Her faith as a Christian guided her through the tough times, and her deep love for her family and friends remained a constant source of joy.
In her leisure, Kathy found comfort in crocheting, creating beautiful pieces that were cherished by many. She also had a passion for playing bingo, where her competitive spirit shone brightly among friends. Despite the hardships she endured throughout her life, Kathy remained a strikingly beautiful woman, both inside and out.
She is survived by her son, William Helton England Jr.; daughters, April England (George Chavis), Angel England Barron (Eric Barron), and Becky Jane Rogers Sylvia; bonus child Shawn Elrod; brothers, Charlie “Doc” Wallace and Ron Wallace; sister, Penny “PeckerBird” Hill; grandchildren, Katie, Virgil, CharLee, Gracie, Krystal, Cody, Lindsey, Jackie, Morgan, and Jacob; numerous great grandchildren; and special friend Virgil Elrod. She was preceded in death by her father, Leroy “Jug” Wallace; mother, Bonnie Helton; husband, William “Bill” Helton England; brothers, Mike “Moose” Wallace, John “Elmo” Wallace, Tim Wallace, and James Wallace; and grandson, Curtis.
