Kathlene "Kitty" Blackwell

Kathlene “Kitty” Umbles Blackwell, 74, resident of Lewisburg, died on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, July 23rd at 1:00 PM at Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home with Joey Umbles officiating. Burial will follow in Short Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday, July 22nd from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton. Born on December 9, 1945 in Lewisburg, she was the daughter of the late Issac Umbles and the late Nellie Stovall Umbles. She loved the outdoors and talking to friends on the telephone. Above all, she deeply loved her family. Survivors include her sons, Ken Blackwell of Murfreesboro, Linton Blackwell of Lewisburg, Chris Blackwell of Lewisburg; daughter, Shelia Linley of Lewisburg; brother, Bill Umbles of Cornersville; sisters, Judy Blackwell of Lewisburg, Kay Comstock of the Wheel Community; twelve grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John T. “J.T.” Blackwell and sons, Ritchie Blackwell and Tony Blackwell.
