A native of marshall County she was the daughter of the late Roy and Louise Cummings Slaughter and was a Licensed Practical Nurse. She is preceded in death by her parents , a half brother, Roy James Slaughter and a half sister, Elizabeth Poteete. Survivors include two daughters, Tabitha LouAnn Doggett , Angelia Lyna' Doggett, one half sister, Dottie Bass and a close personal friend, Carolyn Cole. Private services were held for Mrs. Gatlin.
