John Sherman Riddley, Sr.

John Sherman Riddley, Sr., age 84, a resident of Belfast, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at his home.

Born on August 22, 1941, in Dothan, Alabama, he was the son of the late J. Wester Riddley and the late Mildred McCoy Riddley. John was a longtime iron worker with Denard & Moore Construction and took great pride in his work. He especially enjoyed spending time outdoors, tending to his yard, and caring for his chickens.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Teresa Harnick Riddley; his children, John Riddley, Jr., Daniel (Deanna) Riddley, David Riddley, and Tina (Fred) Sheffield; brothers, Willis Riddley and Douglas Riddley; sisters, Dorothy Taylor and Arleet Guy; fifteen grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Private Family Services will be held.
