John David Bachmann, 63, passed away on September 19, 2023, with his canine companion Maxie at his side. Born on April 22, 1960, in Orange, NJ, John’s passion for preserving and appreciating history was a defining characteristic throughout his life.
A true collector at heart, Johnny spent countless hours scouring estate sales/yard sale, flea markets, and antique shops in search of hidden treasures. His knack for finding unique pieces was unparalleled, and his collection became a testament to his discerning eye and unwavering dedication. In addition to his expertise in clocks, John had an eye for the ornate beauty found in old lamps and china. Each piece he kept held a story of intrigue of its own.
John’s memory will be forever treasured by his surviving nieces: Ashley Entezarian, Alana Batko, and Paula Zwiren; his sister, Nancy Podkowka; grandnieces, Zosia and Amalia; grandnephew, Siavash; his best friend, Robert Saltz and wife, Debbie Smith; friends, Robert (Sandra) Newberry, Timmy Holder, and the Jacob Curry family; and many friends and cousins.
John is preceded in death by his parents, John Paul Bachmann and Martha Gallik Finn and a niece, Lisa ‘Lollipop’ Zwiren.
John’s passion for preserving history will forever be etched in the hearts of the ones who loved him. May you rest in peace, surrounded by the timeless beauty you so adored.
John’s Celebration of Life gathering will be held at the Church Street Church of Christ Annex, 305 West Church Street, Lewisburg, TN on October 3rd from 4:30 - 6:30pm. Please come by and remember John fondly with us.
