Jenny Haywood Harmon

April 14, 1958 — April 23, 2019

Jenny Haywood Harmon, 61, resident of Lewisburg, died Tuesday, April 23rd, 2019 at her residence.

Born on April 14, 1958 in Lewisburg, she was the daughter of the late Shelby Haywood and Martha Haywood.

Jenny was a member of Church of Christ and loved her faith dearly. As a Retired Director of Nursing, Jenny took pride in her career and caring for her patients at Heritage Manor and later at Life Care in Columbia. She often shared funny stories about the job over the years and how much she cherished the people that she worked with.

Her smile and outgoing personality was noted by so many that knew her as many called it 'infectious'. She honestly loved everyone she encountered. It was guaranteed that the first day that she met you, She would hug you tight and give you an 'I Love You'. She just enjoyed making sure everyone felt important and loved, even if they were a complete stranger. Jenny was very proud of her years as a guard for the Marshall County Tigerettes basketball team and led her team on to winning the 1976 State Championship. She was one of only two guards to ever receive the Most Valuable Player Award from the State of Tennessee.
