Janet was a former special education teacher, an integral part of running the family business and a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Janet was passionate about art. With this passion she helped the community by reviving the Marshall County Art Guild. Janet also found solace and comfort in the serenity of her home and farm in Liberty Valley.
However, above all else, Janet's heart truly belonged to her family and friends. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones and found joy in their company. Though she will be deeply missed, Janet will forever remain in our hearts, her memory eternally preserved in the beauty she created, the love she shares, and the lives she touched.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sheryl Ilene George. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, David White; daughter, Mary Leigh (Mark) Pirtle of Franklin; son, Matthew (Meredith) White of Lewisburg; four grandchildren, Hayes Pirtle, Hallie Pirtle, Sloane White and Sutton White; and three brothers, Phillip (Lydia) George, Kenneth George, and David George of Lewisburg.
