Biography
Mr. James William Harris, Jr., age 61 of Franklin, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2014, at Williamson Medical Center in Franklin. He was the son of James Harris, Sr. and Alberta Harris, both of Indianapolis, IN
Mr. Harris was born in Indianapolis, IN on July 16, 1953. Jimmy was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1972. He was joined in matrimony to Bettie J. Davis on August 4, 1973, in Indianapolis, IN over forty-one years ago. He retired from General Motors in 2011. Jimmy will best be remembered for his love of fishing, tinkering with gadgets, jazz music, and his sense of humor.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Bettie J. Harris of Franklin; one son, William Davis of Phoenix, AZ; two daughters, Lauren Michelle Brown of Indianapolis and Patricia Spencer of Franklin; one brother, Sherman (Willie B.) Harris of Indianapolis; one sister, Vickie (Curtis) Martin of Indianapolis; one step child, Vallery (Jimmy) Choy of Franklin; three grandchildren, Christina, Briahana, and Mya, and his favorite aunt, Louise Hickman of Indianapolis, IN.
A memorial service will be held Friday, November 14, 2014 at 11 AM at The Kingdom Hall Jehovah Witnesses in Franklin. There will be no visitation prior to the service.
