It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Illa “Susie” Ring, who left this world on March 23, 2026. Illa was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and friend, known for her unwavering love for her family, especially her son. Her resourceful spirit touched the lives of many and inspired those around her.
Illa had a deep passion for the arts. She found joy in painting, creating beautiful pictures that reflected her vibrant personality. In addition to her artistic endeavors, Illa loved to cook, delighting her family with delicious meals made from the heart. A true animal lover, she held a special place in her heart for horses, always nurturing the bond between humans and animals.
A dedicated worker known for her strong work ethic, Illa spent many years contributing to the Moon Pencil factory, where her commitment and diligence were deeply admired by her colleagues. Beyond her professional life, she was known for her remarkable talent for playing the piano by ear and though she was not a professional musician, she also enjoyed playing the guitar, embracing the joy of music with a playful spirit. She kept her family connected and informed, always sharing the latest news and updates with an infectious enthusiasm.
Illa was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Ring, her parents, Bill and Lelia Brogan, and brothers, Ricky Brogan and Donnie Brogan. She is survived by her son, Ramie Ring and her sister, Linda Messer.
A Graveside Service will be conducted on Friday, March 27th at 10:00 AM at Sunset Park Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 9:00 AM until service time at Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home.
