Gwendolyn Kay Gibson Sanford, 63, resident of Sparta, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at her residence.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
Born on August 6, 1956 in Lansing, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Cordell Lavon Gibson and the late Mary Ellen Byerley Gibson. She enjoyed crafting, being outdoors, and working in her yard. Gwen’s greatest joy was her family.
She is survived by son, Shane Sanford; daughter, Katrina Hileman (Steven); grandchildren, Heath and Lydia Hileman; long-time companion, Mike Lemons; sisters, Karen Gibson, Patricia Meyer (Denny); and a niece, Heather Hill (Randy).
In addition to her loving parents, she is preceded in death by her ex-husband, Larry Douglas Sanford.
