Mr. Guy Esman West, age 74, of Lewisburg, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at his residence.
A native of Marshall County, he was the son of the late Gertrude Luna West and Guy Esman West Sr. He was a retired truck driver and an avid farmer and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Mr. West is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Hubert West and a sister, Deshia Hamlett.
Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Beverly West, three sons, Boyd West of Lewisburg and David West of Fayetteville, Jan West of Heflin Alabama, one daughter, Sherri Williams of Shelbyville. Seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one step grand daughter, one step great grandson also survive.
Graveside services for Mr. West will be conducted on Saturday, September 5 at 10:00 AM at Talley Cemetery in the Cane Creek Community, with Corey Barnett and Benny Burns officiating. Visitation with the family will begin on Friday, September 4, 2009 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
