Ernest Virgil Farmer

Ernest Virgil Farmer, 80, resident of Lewisburg, died on Sunday, November 8, 2020 at Marshall Medical Center.

A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, November 21st at 6:00 pm at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church with Pastor Matt Judd officiating. The family will visit with friends on Saturday, November 21st from 4:00 pm until service time at the church. Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home & Crematory is honored to assist the family with cremation arrangements. Condolences may be offered online at www.billsmcgaugh.com.

Born on January 1, 1940 in Nitro, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Harold Farmer and the late Ella Clendenin Farmer. He was a longtime Nazarene church pastor, and he last served as pastor at Lewisburg First Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed being a substitute teacher at Marshall County High School. Ernest was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing.

Survivors include his wife, Janice Baker Farmer of Lewisburg; sons, Doug (Ronda) Farmer of Lewisburg, Danny (Linda) Farmer of the Mooresville community; brother, Charlie; sisters, Bobbie, Nancy, Susie; grandchildren, Nathan Farmer, Amber Farmer; great-grandchildren, Cohen Farmer and Truth Farmer.
