Emma Lee Scott Tallman

July 10, 1927 — November 18, 2015

Emma Lee Scott Tallman, age 88, of Cornersville, TN passed away peacefully on November 18, 2015 at the Fayetteville Health and Rehabilitation Center in Fayetteville, TN.
Mrs. Tallman was a homemaker, a former employee of Americas Cup and a retiree of Weather Tamer Corporation. She was a member of the Richland Cumberland Presbyterian Church in the Spring Place Community.
Mrs. Tallman was preceded in death by her parents, Nathan D. and Lillie Mae Scott, her husband, Herman William (Dub) Tallman in 1988. Emma and Dub were married on July 25,1942. She was also preceded in death by three sons, Jerry Lee, John Wayne and Robert (Bob) Tallman, one infant daughter Betty Jo Tallman, a daughter-in-law Rita Gayle Tallman, two grandchildren, Melissa and Robert Carl Tallman II. Five sisters and two brothers also preceded Ms. Tallman in death.
Survivors include one daughter, Brenda Joyce (James) Vaughn of the Yukon Community, one son, James "Bill" (Lori) Tallman of Cornersville, TN, two grandsons, Michael Tallman of the Spring Place Community and David (Lenace) Vaughn of Fayetteville, TN, one great grandson, Alex (Amanda) Vaughn of Norfolk, VA and one great-great-grandson, Abram Vaughn. Two step grandsons, Christopher Conley and Andrew Bradley of Cornersville, TN, one step granddaughter, Natilee Paige Conley of Lewisburg, TN one step great granddaughter,Liz Gurley, extended family Donna (Mike) Jones and girls of Cornersville, a special niece, Linda (Jerry) Mullins of Fayetteville, TN along with several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 22, 2015 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home and Crematory with Buddy Pope and David Ray Walls officiating. Burial will follow in the Wright Cemetery in McBurg, TN.
The family will receive friends Saturday, November 21, 2015 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimers Association,4825 Trousdale Dr. Suite 220,Nashville, Tn 37220 or the American Cancer Association, 2000 Charlotte Ave., Nashville, Tn 37203
