Edith Hopper Payne, 66, resident of Lewisburg, died on Sunday, February 2, 2020 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Born on August 8, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Grover Cleveland Hopper and the late Dora Elizabeth Alsup Hopper. She enjoyed gambling, collecting angels, and drinking coffee. Edith loved her grandchildren very much and loved having the family together. She was known to always dance along with her singing. Ms. Payne attended the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and loved God very much.
Survivors include her daughter, Elizabeth Fay (Ryder) McKinney of Lawrenceburg, Amber Kay (Corey) Ray of Lewisburg; son, David (Debra) Payne, Jr. of Lewisburg; life-long love, David Payne, Sr. of Lewisburg; brother, Danny Hopper of Texas; seven grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by seven siblings.
Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with cremation arrangements.
