Edgar ' 'Ed Willis

Mr. Edgar B. 'Ed' Willis, age 81 of Lewisburg, died Monday, September 1 at his residence on Tiger Blvd. in Lewisburg.
A native of Clifton, TN, he was the son of the late Edwin Birnie Willis and the late Alice Sweney Willis. Mr. Willis served his country in the US Coast Guard during World War II, and was a member of the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. Following service, he worked as a Jeweler and Engraver, in radio sales and management, and spent his free time in his garden.
He is survived by three children: Sonny Willis of Lewisburg, Lucinda Willis of Mt. Juliet, and Jacqueline Parker of Sewanee, TN, 4 grandchildren, who loved their PaPa: Christy Sheppard, J. J. Yowell, William Howard Matt Yowell, and Austin Parker; and one brother: Allen Willis of Nashville.
The family will be at Bills McGaugh Funeral Home after 4:00 PM Tuesday and until the funeral hour on Wednesday for visitation.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home by Rev. Paul Lucas. Interment will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery with military honors provided by the United States Naval Reserve of Nashville, TN.
