Biography



Edgar "Dale" Bowling, age 59, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2013, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. Mr. Bowling was a native of Clifton, Tennessee and a devoted Christian husband, father, and friend.
He was the son of the late Bud Bowling and Winifred Golahair Bowling and was a member of East Commerce Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Douglas Bowling and a sister, Dorothy Bowling.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-four years, Patsy Cheeves Bowling, one daughter, Brooke Ridale Borne of Lewisburg and one son, Anthony Dewayne Bowling of Lewisburg, five sisters, Thelma Beatty of Waynesboro, Edna Woods of Savannah, Margaret Conway, Sue Conway, and Becky Cole, all of Clifton, one brother, Malcolm Bowling of Knoxville, five grandchildren, Ariel Borne, Moira Borne, Lena Borne, Iris Lasiter, and Dylan Lasiter, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Bowling will be held Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at 2 PM from the chapel of Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home with James Hickey and Mike Adams officiating. Burial will follow at Hopper Cemetery in the Laws Hill Community. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, June 25, 2013 from 4 PM to 8 PM.

Pallbearers will be Mike Adams, Jeff Borne, Jerry Perry, Kevin McGehee, Cleo Sharp, and Eugene Leverette. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the East Commerce Baptist Church Wildlife Ministries.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Heart Association.
