Biography
Mrs. Earline McKinney Cathey, age 67, of Lewisburg, passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at her residence.
A native of Marshall County, she was the daughter of the late Macie Crabtree McKinney and Edwin Earl McKinney. She was a retired as an accountant for Teledyne EMS Corporation and was a member of the Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, her long time companion Dillard McGowan precedes her in death. in 2007.
Survivors include three daughters Lisa Cathey Smith of Lewisburg, Julie Cathey (Bill) Hallenberg of Lewisburg, Jennifer Cathey (Heath) Giles of Signal Mountain, TN, one sister, Betty McKinney (Emmit) McAdams of Murfreesboro, TN. Also surviving are eight grandchildren Matthew and Ben Briggs, Grace and Macy Smith, Nathan Harber, Carter and Elise Giles, and Allie Hallenberg along with nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Cathey will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home with Kyle Bolton and Tom Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Head Springs Cemetery in Belfast. Her family will serve as active Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be the MCHS graduating class of 1962.
Visitation with the family will begin on Friday, June 15, 2012 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
